When you do a roleplaying game you start with the story first, then game mechanics, not the other way around because what you end getting is a nonsense aberration. RSL starting from zero will fail because any console player will associate it with the mobile app, take DI, they went the opposite road, took a well developed game and turned it into a mobile app, sure they made money from it, but the regular players didn't want anything with the product, so think of your proposal in reverse, people that did not want to been associated with it in the first time wouldn't now, and you have to consider thet the owner of the rights is a big casino company that doesn't know anything about triple aaa games in general, and zero about roleplay in particular.Īnd if you think I'm being harsh or unrealistic just try to ask this question, have you ever tried to bring friends to play RSL right now as it is?, and if the response is affirmative how many of them keep playing it?, there's a reason that most referral accounts are handled by the same player that create a main one, heck just check out the amount of clans struggling to find players nowadays just to play the app. No it wouldn't, the reason is quite simple the brand itself is flawed by concept, you are comparing different genres and games that have a serious back up story of versions behind them.
